Wine Schools
Training to be a sommelier or expert in beverages is 100% dependent on tasting widely, especially for the blind tasting exams required in WSET Level 3 in Wine and higher, or Certified Sommelier and higher from the Court of Master Sommeliers. However, buying full bottles to taste is punitively expensive. This has led most classes and tasting practice groups to be restricted to those meeting in person.
When you sit an exam and are handed a glass to identify out of all the millions of different wines made each year, the odds are stacked against you. That means your practice wines need to be 100% perfect, so you can be sure when you assess tannins, acidity, alcohol and the kind of volatile aromas which are incredibly easy to oxidise. ecoSIP is the best way to do this cost-effectively while knowing you are tasting exactly what that wine is supposed to taste like.
Wine Schools
We offer a range of pre-made sample kits, based around the WSET L1-4 syllabuses, or you can build your own from the samples we have in stock in our library. We can either wholesale to you so you can sell on your website and ship to customers. Alternatively, we can handle 100% of the logistics. The student enters a code on our website, orders the sample kit, and we ship it directly to them and handle all customer service issues.
The costs of this are far less than operating your own bottling process and you can benefit from our economies of scale and trade pricing on the wines.
For larger wine schools, particularly wine companies doing in-house training across all their staff who want to use wines from their own range, we can pack up your wines into the samples and bulk ship back to your warehouse, or send directly to each student in a GDPR-compliant fashion.
With a 6+ month guaranteed shelf life on all our sample kits, there’s no need to pack for each individual group or session.
