Naked Wines
Tasting Packs
Throughout and for a long time after the pandemic, Naked Wines engaged its audience and allowed them to try pushing their boundaries with monthly tastings for thousands of customers each time – perhaps the most successful online wine tasting events in history. ecoSIP’s six-pack allowed us to post samples through their customers’ doors using low-cost Royal Mail Large Letter postage, saving vast amounts of money.
By allowing customers to try without the risk of buying full bottles, they were able to encourage customers to taste more esoteric and unexpected wines, winning over a new generation of fans for wines that are a little off the beaten path.
Naked simply shipped the bottles to us, and securely shared the addresses for their customers, and we handled everything else, shipping directly to the end consumers.
Advent Calendars
Many of Naked’s competitors offered wine advent calendars, which are big business in the UK. However, they generally use 187ml miniature bottles. To reach a sub-£100 price is challenging using mini bottles, so the pressure is on to source incredibly cheap wines to feature.
Using 100ml ecoSIP portions, Naked was able to feature more interesting and premium wines – even Georgian wine, Beerenauslese dessert wines and fortified Ports. This was an exploration of the variety available in the world of wine, rather than 24 entry-level specimens.
The Naked Wine advent calendar was 6x smaller, and had >10x less packaging waste and CO2 footprint than competing products.
